1 Neo-Nazi Group. 5 Murders In 8 Months.

An 18-year-old in Florida apparently shoots and kills two associated with his roommates. A 21-year-old, furthermore in Florida, plots to explosive device synagogues and a nuclear power vegetable. A 17-year-old in Virginia apparently shoots and kills his girlfriend’ s parents. And a 20-year-old within California allegedly stabs a homosexual Jewish college student 20 times, burying him in a shallow grave.

All of these young white men got connections to the Atomwaffen Division, the well-armed neo-Nazi group enamored along with Charles Manson and Adolf Hitler whose members harbor grand plus demented delusions of fighting the “ race war” and overthrowing the U. S. government.

Their own alleged crimes all occurred in only the last eight months, most recently in The month of january , adding to fears that an emboldened American white supremacist movement keeps growing more violent by the day. White supremacists, after all, killed twice as many people in 2017 as they did the year just before , according to the Anti-Defamation League.

But while the Atomwaffen Division — which translates through the German as the “ Atomic Weaponry Division” — represents perhaps the many extreme faction of organized fascism in the U. S.,   these types of five recent murders thus far don’ t appear to have been coordinated. Neither does it appear that they were just about all completely motivated by ideology.

Most, it seems, arose partly through domestic disputes, highlighting the volatility and desperation of young men who seem to become enthralled by white supremacy.

Still, America is certainly waking up to the threat of a team like Atomwaffen, which operates mostly anonymously and in the shadows, radicalizing young men, holding military-style training camps and making explicit calls for assault against minorities.

This is exactly what we know about them.

Giampa also praised the 1992 book called Siege —   a racist tome penned simply by career neo-Nazi and Charles Manson devotee Wayne Mason . The book, which usually argues for waging a chaotic “ Helter Skelter” race battle and condones murder and fear attacks, was plucked from obscurity by Atomwaffen members and republished on the group’ s website a year ago.

His previous high school classmate, Samuel Lincoln Woodward, was arrested for the murder a couple of days later. Last week,   ProPublica reported that Woodward is a member of the Atomwaffen Division.

Three those who knew Woodward, one of whom is really a former Atomwaffen member, identified Woodward as belonging to the group. The former associate informed ProPublica that Woodward attended an Atomwaffen training camping in Texas in 2016, in which he learned about firearms, hand-to-hand combat and the way to survive in the wild.

It’ t unclear if Woodward will encounter hate crime charges.

Bernstein’ s mother, Jeanne Pepper Fossiles harz, informed the Los Angeles Times she had always worried the girl son could be the victim of detest. She said it always worried her that he was gay, Judaism and small.

“ I was concerned for his security always, ” she added. “ I was concerned sending him away into the big world. But at some time you have to let go and they leave the particular nest and fly. I couldn’ t protect him from every thing. ”
