Air Force pilot dead, another injured after T-38 Talon crashes in Texas

One U. Ersus. Air Force pilot is deceased and another has been hospitalized following a T-38 Talon crashed in Tx Monday.

The pilots, both associated with whom are not being identified, damaged the training jet near Laughlin Surroundings Force Base in Del Rio de janeiro around 4 p. m., approximately 14 miles northwest, the Air Push stated in a statement .

  The enduring pilot was transported to Val Verde Regional Medical Center in De Rio.

“ Our biggest priority at the moment is caring for the family and close friends of our Airmen, ” Col. Michelle Pryor, 47th Flying Training Side vice commander, said Monday night time.

“ We are a close knit family, so when a tragedy like this occurs every single member of the U. S. Military feels it. Our people consider top priority, and we are committed to making sure their safety and security, ” Pryor continuing.

The environment Force confirmed the incident upon Twitter, saying: “It is with excellent sadness we announce the transferring of one of our own and the damage of another Airman during a airplane crash near Del Rio, Tx. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the families, friends plus Airmen affected by this tragedy. inch

The accident is under analysis.

Laughlin is the largest training base within the U. S. Air Force.
