An Artist Fixed Melania’s Jacket And Gave It To ‘A Real First Lady’

Nyc artist Justin Teodoro offers felt angry, saddened and ashamed by President Donald Trump ’ t zero tolerance policy that has still left thousands of migrant children separated off their parents seeking asylum on the Oughout. S. -Mexico border.  

When initial lady Melania Trump wore the jacket that read “ I REALLY DON’ Capital t CARE, DO U? ” on her way to  visit an immigrant children’ ersus center on Thurs, Teodoro felt he needed to react.

“ I think seeing what the very first lady wore on her visit nowadays totally appalled and shocked me personally and was just beyond develop deaf, ” Teodoro told HuffPost. “ I guess I just needed to respond in my own small way plus draw a response ― not along with anger but with hope because I actually do believe love trumps hate. ”

Therefore he reimagined the first lady’ s i9000 jacket to reflect the public outrage about family members being ripped apart at the border. He posted the particular illustration to Instagram.  

In the 1st two hours, it was liked almost 3, 000 times. The image seemed to be shared rapidly on Instagram,   reposted by multiple accounts which includes those belonging to New York Magazine plus author Elizabeth Gilbert.

“ I needed to illustrate the Statue associated with Liberty (a real first lady) wearing what we all feel and keeping the hand of that little girl in whose image we’ ve seen almost everywhere and taking care of her because which is what she and all these kids deserve, ” Teodoro told HuffPost.  

The toddler in the viral Getty Images photo was also  featured by Time journal on its new cover with the headline “ Thanks for visiting America. ” Some people have known as on the magazine to find the toddler plus pay the girl .

The 2-year-old girl and the girl mother had come from Honduras looking for asylum.
