Beard-stroking job bristles interest

More than 4, 000 bewhiskered men have applied to have their facial felt stroked by stressed-out Christmas consumers.

Mo Bro’s Tidying Co in Leicester advertised regarding hirsute gentlemen to staff the “beard stroking station” in return for £ 30 an hour.

This hopes the soothing service will certainly “de-stress” shoppers in the final times before Christmas.

The particular firm said there had been the “phenomenal” response.

Earnings from each £ 5 program will go to homeless charity Refuge.

Co-owner Keval Dattani stated 46 shoppers – a mix of women and men – had submitted advance programs to be strokers.

Nearby bearded celebrities, including Leicester Tigers players and world champion clay-based pigeon shooter, Ben Husthwaite, got also shown an interest, he mentioned.

Just as studies have suggested patting pets can reduce stress , Mister Dattani said he hopes human being beards will have a similarly comforting effect on last-minute Christmas shoppers.

“We didn’t want to get the help of animals because they obviously could be somewhat unpredictable and chaotic, inch Mr Dattani said.

“So, doing what we do, we all thought beards are the next smartest thing. ”

The company’s own tidying products will be on hand to fight dry skin from too much massaging, Mr Dattani said.
