Betsy DeVos Says She’s Misunderstood, Then Struggles To Explain Her Own Policies

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos got one of the most contentious confirmation hearings associated with the  Trump   administration, with two Conservatives voting towards her nomination . On Weekend night, she told Lesley Stahl of “ 60 Minutes” that will she’ s “ more misunderstood than something . ”

However , in the similar interview,   the billionaire ally for school choice,   that allows taxpayer funds for public education and learning to be channeled to other schools, which includes private religious-based institutions, struggled to give data backing up her signature problem.  

DeVos claimed that when children opt to go to private or rental schools, public schools also enhance. Then,   DeVos admitted the lady didn’ t know if that  happened within her home state of The state of michigan , where she has long recommended for such programs.
