Clinton Foundation to keep Harvey Weinstein’s $250,000 donation

The Clinton Foundation is not going to return as much as $250, 000 within donations from disgraced Hollywood genius Harvey Weinstein following the accusations associated with sexual harassment and rape.

The building blocks said Sunday that donations, which range from $100, 000 to $250, 500, have already been spent on projects, The Day-to-day Mail reported.

The move to keep the cash was expected following tweets from your foundation’ s spokesman Craig Minassian.

“ Suggesting @ClintonFdn return funds from your 330, 000+ donors ignores the truth that donations have been used to help people around the world, ” Minassian wrote on Tweets.

The calls to return Weinstein’ s cash were prompted after multiple stars have come forward a nd accused the Hollywood executive associated with sexual assault and rape, driving numerous politicians and organization in order to grapple with the dilemma.

Dozens Democratic Celebration politicians – including Senate Group Leader Chuck Schumer, Sen. Sen. Al Franken, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Cory Booker – possess pledged to donate their Weinstein’ s contributions to charities centered on women’ s rights.

Hillary Clinton echoed her former colleagues, saying the lady was “ shocked and appalled” after the sexual harassment allegations had been revealed about Weinstein, who managed fundraisers for her in the past and given more than $46, 000 to her current presidential campaign and other election attempts.

“What other people are saying, what my previous colleagues are saying, is they’re going to contribute it to charity, and of course I am going to do that, ” she said upon CNN. “I give 10% associated with my income to charity each year, this will be part of that. There’s no – there’s no doubt about it. ”
