Cory Booker Calls On Donald Trump To Resign Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N. L. )  is calling on President Donald Trump to resign on the more than a dozen sexual misconduct accusations against him.

Booker made the Saturday during a campaign event within Alabama to support Doug Jones, the particular state’ s Democratic candidate meant for Senate.   Jones is involved in a tight race against embattled Conservative candidate Roy Moore, whose marketing campaign has been dogged by sexual wrong doings accusations.  

Booker  told VICE News that the sexual harassment accusations against Trump are “ much more damning” than the claims against Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn. ), that on Thursday  introduced his resignation   through office after multiple women arrested him of groping them.

“ I just watched Al Franken the actual honorable thing and resign, ” Booker said. “ My query is — why isn’ big t Donald Trump doing the same thing? That has more serious allegations against him, with increased women who have come forward. ”

Whilst Trump has been quick to contact out other high-profile men falsely accused of sexual misconduct in current weeks,   including Franken plus Matt Lauer,   who was terminated from NBC’ s “ Today” show over sexual assault accusations, he’ s refrained from using the same level of scrutiny to their own behavior.

A minimum of 19 women have got accused Trump of sexual wrong doings, including forcible kissing and fumbling, since the 1980s. He even bragged about grabbing women “ from the pussy” in 2005 on the now-infamous “ Access Hollywood” tape.

Trump denied the allegations throughout their 2016 presidential campaign and terminated the “ Access Hollywood” documenting as merely “ locker area talk. ” In October, White-colored House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders recommended all the women accusing Trump of sexual harassment had been lying.

Booker’ s comments stick to call by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore. ) that Trump need to resign.
