Delta jet makes emergency landing as smoke pours from engine 1 day after Southwest disaster

A Delta plane departing from the world’s busiest airport terminal made an emergency landing Wednesday right after smoke was seen pouring from of the plane’s engines.

Hartsfield-Jackson The atlanta area International Airport tweeted that “after 6pm, smoke was reported coming from the motor of a departing aircraft. ”

The plane, based on the airport, “immediately returned” and Airplane Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) officials “hosed down the aircraft’s smoking cigarettes engine. ”

The plane is being diverted returning to the concourse with passengers up to speed, the airport said. No accidental injuries have been reported.
