Dolly Partons Imagination Library Gives Out 100 Millionth Free Book

Dolly Parton’ s i9000   Imagination Library, the girl charity that gives free books in order to children, has just given away its a hundred millionth book.

The milestone quantity was a copy of Parton’ h newest children’ s picture guide, Coat of Many Colours , titled after her 1971 single of the same name. It had been given to the Library of Our elected representatives in Washington, where Parton offers has a partnership to livestream tale readings.

Parton established Imagination Library   in honor of her illiterate father within 1995 in Sevier Country, Tn, where she grew up. The program gives books to families once a month, and can do so from a child’ s delivery to age 5.

The vocalist writes on the program’ s web site that when she was growing up, the girl knew her dreams would come real, and knows there are children using their own dreams.
