MSNBC commentator Joy Reid didn’ t mince words on Tweets as she dissected President Donald Trump ’ s State from the Union speech Tuesday night.
Along the way, she managed to irk Donald Trump Jr., who felt obliged to protect his dad against what earlier administrations might have called “ reasonable comment, ” “ free speech” or “ First Change freedoms. ”
The end result wasn’ capital t so much a Twitter war as being a social media massacre.
It all started whenever Reid posted this comment:
Trump Jr. responded on Wednesday.
Noises good? Perhaps, but Reid’ h thoughtful thread exposed the hypocrisy of the Trump administration and the information he struck in his speech.
Up to now, Trump Jr. hasn’ t tackled the rest of Reid’ s argument.
CORRECTION: The previous version of this story wrongly indicated that part of Joy Reid’ s thread was in response to Jesse Trump Jr. ’ s twitter update, which he posted the next early morning.
