Many people just don’ t get it. Eric Trump seems to be one of them.
On Tuesday, Chief executive Donald Trump ’ s second kid desperately tried to defend his dad for calling Ma Sen. Elizabeth Warren “ Pocahontas” during an event which was supposed to honor Native American Ww ii veterans.
The president’ s try at a joke was quickly ruined by politicians and Native American leaders . Later, ABC News media reporter Jon Karl asked White Home press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders why Trump felt the need to state “ something that is offensive to many individuals while honoring the particular Navajo code talkers, these legitimate American heroes? ”
Sanders claimed the phrase wasn’ t a racial slur, even though Trump has been criticized previously for repeatedly using it against Warren, who made unverified claims that will she had Native American traditions during her 2012 Senate operate.
Upon Tuesday, the younger Trump attempted to protect his presidential pop with a twitter update he probably meant to burn Dad’ s detractors on Twitter permanently.
Lots of people quickly responded that the young Trump’ s reasoning was a truly incredible example of stupidity.
A few explained the difference between creating a movie about a real-life Native United states is a lot different than using the name of this person to insult someone else.
Some couldn’ t assist but add a bit of snark for this “ teachable moment. ”
Others used straight-forward reasoning.
Several had questions of their own.
One person decided to put the shoe within Trump’ s mouth on the additional foot (to use a very blended metaphor).
Ultimately, people decided this was a good chance to go all-in on Eric Trump insults.
Then there is one guy who wanted to replace the subject entirely.
