Family blames hospital after mom loses limbs to flesh-eating bacteria following childbirth

A Canadian mother has submitted a claim against her physicians and the hospital she gave delivery in after she lost all limbs to a flesh-eating bacteria disease and now faces a kidney hair transplant. Lindsey Hubley, 33, gave delivery to son Myles in Mar, but suffered a series of complications right after being sent home, CTV News documented.

The claim alleges that Hubley returned to IWK Health Center the next day and was allegedly delivered home without further examination. Hubley’ s lawyer claims that physicians failed to remove part of her placenta during her son’ s delivery, and she returned to the hospital for any second time the following day right after experiencing pain and discoloration, CTV Information reported.

Hubley, who is presently hospitalized, required amputations below each her elbows and knees, plus underwent a complete hysterectomy. Additionally , the girl fiancé, Mike Sampson, 34, offers quit his job to help take care of her and their newborn boy.

“ Our allegations are that got she been properly assessed whenever she presented at the hospital… a considerable part of the damage, if not all of it, might have been prevented, ” Wagner told this news outlet.

Sampson said Hubley faces a lot more major surgeries, but has was able to remain upbeat.

“ Myles and I create our way to the hospital pretty much every time to see mama, ” he told CTV News. “ Existence have been turned upside down. ”
