Fan shields JROTC member from rain in powerful photo

Simple gesture by a lover to a JROTC member at the Gwinnett Braves game on Memorial Time was captured in a powerful picture.

The fan, dressed in a reddish colored raincoat, held his umbrella within the JROTC member as he stood with attention next to the Braves’ POW-MIA Chair of Honor in the rainfall, according to FOX5 Atlanta .

The Braves messaged the image and described the motion with one word: “ Regard. ”

Another fan took a snap from the act from a different angle.

“ They sacrifice a lot for us, we can sacrifice for them as well!!! #RespectOurMilitary, ” the fan messaged.

The particular Braves dedicated the Chair associated with Honor at SunTrust Park this past year.

“ Since World War 1 over 92, 000 American soldiers are usually unaccounted for, ” a back plate next to the chair reads. “ This unoccupied seat is focused on the memory of these brave women and men and to the sacrifice they produced in serving this country. ”
