A Connecticut police officer is battling for her life after she has been stabbed in the throat while checking out a disturbance Thursday morning, authorities said.
Hartford police Deputy Main Brian Foley said the stabbing occurred at about 10: 10 the. m. at Spectra Boutique Flats. He said the female officer has been trying to handcuff a woman during a good eviction.
The unidentified officer was delivered to a nearby hospital in crucial condition.
“ As far as the condition, all we’ ve got is critical, ” Foley said, according to Hartford Courant . “ Severe, life-altering injury to say minimal. ”
She was stabbed in a jugular vein, the newspaper reported.
A 39-year-old woman is in police custody plus was taken to a hospital to become treated for hand injuries. She actually is likely to be charged with serious offences later in the day, Foley mentioned. It’s unclear how she has been injured.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
