Florida GOP Gov. Rick Scott running for Senate, report says

Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott will announce plans Monday to operate for the Senate against Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson, setting up what might be one of the most expensive and highly-watched events in the country.

The Associated Press documented Monday that Scott will officially make the announcement during a morning occasion in Orlando where he will contact Washington “horribly dysfunctional, ” train against “career politicians” and necessitate term limits for members associated with Congress.

Scott was first elected governor this year but he cannot run once again because of term limits.

Nelson is the just statewide elected Democrat and was initially elected to the U. S. United states senate in 2000.

President Trump has advised Scott to run for the seat.
