Florida high school under lockdown after reports of shooter, victims, police say

At least 20 students had been feared hurt in a shooting Wed at a high school in Parkland, Fl, as local media reported students was considered a person of interest.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is below lockdown and police are on the particular scene after reports of photos fired and potential victims, authorities said Wednesday.

According to WSVN , the Margate Fire Rescue group described the scene as a bulk casualty incident, meaning at least twenty people had been injured.

The scene, based on a tweet from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, was still energetic and the shooter is still at large.

Dispatch in the sheriff’s office confirmed the school has been on lockdown and police had been on location.

Coral Springs Police requested the public to avoid the area of the senior high school, saying it was an active scene. The nearby middle school was also wear lockdown as a precaution, officials mentioned.

Specialists also said students and instructors should remain barricaded in the college until they could be reached by law enforcement.

Several students were seen walking or even running from the area, the outlet stated.

An individual who claims to be at the picture published pictures to Twitter of themselves hiding beneath tables in one of the classrooms.  

Governor Rick Scott said on Twitter   that will he’d spoken to the Broward Sheriff Scott Israel, as well as other officials, with regards to the incident and will “continue to receive up-dates from law enforcement. ”

The FBI can also be in touch with local authorities and responding to the particular incident, Fox News confirmed.
