Simmons’ latest sign, which gained attention, stated: “We stand for the national anthem. ”   (Elaine Simmons)

“To me, if you fail to stand for the national anthem plus represent the flag for which your own veterans have given you freedom, then you definitely need to buy  a one-way window of somewhere, ” Simmons told Fox thirty-five Orlando .

Simmons said  that right after she posted a photo of the girl sign on Facebook, the county obtained a complaint and issued the girl a code violation notice.

“No a single complained about it until after I place up… that ‘we stand for the particular national anthem, ‘” said Simmons.

Times later, Simmons’ sign was vandalized with vulgar words that Trump used on a 2005 hot microphone recording.
