Former President Clinton gets TV deal for upcoming White House ‘thriller’

The TV rights to an upcoming story co-written by former President Expenses Clinton has been acquired by Showtime, the premium cable television network stated late Friday.

Showtime Network Incorporation. called the novel, co-written with bestselling author James Patterson, a “ powerful, one-of-a-kind thriller. ”

“ Now i’m really enjoying writing this book plus working with Jim, ” Clinton stated in a statement. “ I can’ t wait to see  Showtime  bring the characters to life. ”

The system said the novel — entitled “ The President is Missing” — has “ the level of fine detail that only someone who has held work can know. ”

Showtime chief executive plus President David Nevins said having the rights to the novel was “ a coup of the highest order” for the network.

The novel is planned for release in June 2018.

“ The White House is such a fantastic world to explore and is made much more so with the unique insights of a previous president, ” Patterson said.  

Clinton, a Democrat and the country’ h 42 nd   president, has published several nonfiction books including “ Putting Individuals First: How We Can All Modify America. ”

Patterson holds the report for most No . 1  New York Times  bestsellers by a single author, promoting more than 380 million copies globally. Among them is “ Women’ t Murder Club. ”

Showtime won the bidding war for the book’ h rights.

The networks affiliation with CBS TELEVISION STUDIOS, and the corporation’s boss, Leslie Moonves, helped seal the deal, according to the Linked Press.
