Hawking service open to time travellers

Organisers of Prof Stephen Hawking’s memorial service have seemingly still left the door open for time holidaymakers to attend.

Those desperate to honour the theoretical physicist, who have died in March aged seventy six, can apply via a public ballot .

Applicants need to provide their birth date – which may be any day up to 31 December 2038.

Prof Hawking’s base said the possibility of time travel was not disproven and could not be excluded.

It was London travel tumblr IanVisits who noticed that all those born from 2019 to 2038 were theoretically permitted to attend the particular service at Westminster Abbey.

He said: “Professor Hawking once threw a party for period travellers, to see if any would certainly turn up if he posted the particular invite after the party.

“None did, but it appears perfect that the memorial website enables people born in the future to attend the particular service.

“Look out for time travellers at the Abbey. ”

After the “time traveler party”, held in June this year, Prof Hawking remarked that the idea that no-one turned up was “experimental proof that time travel is not possible”.

Within 24 hours of the starting of the ballot for the thanksgiving services, to be held on 15 06, regarding 12, 000 people from a lot more than 50 countries had applied for seat tickets .

While almost all applicants appear to be from the present day, the spokesman for the Stephen Hawking Basis said: “We cannot exclude associated with time travel as it has not been disproven to our satisfaction.

“All things are possible until confirmed otherwise.

“But up to now we have had applications from all-round the world, and we do mean circular – there are no flat-Earthers right here. ”

People through as far away as the US, China and taiwan, Bolivia and the South Pacific possess asked to attend the event to commemorate the life of Prof Hawking, exactly who died on 14 March, greater than 50 years after he had been diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease.

Thousands covered the streets of his house city of Cambridge for his funeral upon 31 March.

The ballot for tickets in order to his memorial service closes at nighttime on 15 May.
