A Tn homeowner held two escaped inmates wanted in the killing of 2 prison guards at gunpoint Thursday night until authorities arrived and produced the arrests.
Tennessee Highway Patrol speaker Lt. Bill Miller said past due Thursday that the homeowner caught Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose looking to steal his vehicle.
Miller says the particular escaped Georgia inmates had damaged a car while being chased legally enforcement and fled on foot straight into woods along Interstate 24 close to the rural community of Christiana.
Miller states something alerted the homeowner that individuals were outside his home and saw the men trying to grab his vehicle. The trooper states the homeowner held the two with gunpoint with a neighbor he known as until the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Division could get there to arrest all of them.
Rowe and Dubose are accused associated with killing two guards on a jail transfer bus early Tuesday. Specialists had offered a $130, 1000 reward for information leading to their own arrests.
Authorities say Rowe and Dubose overpowered and killed Sgt. Captain christopher Monica and Sgt. Curtis Billue early Tuesday on a bus which should have been secured as it carried thirty-three inmates between prisons southeast associated with Atlanta.
Authorities had offered a $130, 000 reward for information resulting in the arrest of the fugitives, who Sills had called “dangerous further than description. ”
The search had included law enforcement officers all over Georgia, along with the FBI, the U. S. Marshals Service, and the U. S. Agency of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms plus Explosives.
