Hillary Clinton to ‘View’ pals: ‘I won the popular vote’

Hillary Clinton’s visit to “The View” started with warm, lengthy hugs, and ended with a present.

The former Democratic presidential candidate joined the stage to Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” and “The View” co-hosts’ eager greetings.

Whoopi Goldberg’s introduction has been interrupted several times by cheers through the audience as Clinton took the girl seat.

Joy Behar expressed how surprised she was when Clinton dropped the election.

“I was sure you had been going to win” Behar told Clinton,   to which Clinton responded to the laughing crowd, “So was We. ”

“I went into mourning” Behar mentioned, as the screen behind her demonstrated the liberal host on selection night wearing a black veil.

As the job interview went on, Clinton and the women associated with “The View” commiserated  over exactly why the 69-year-old former Secretary associated with State lost the election to some man with zero political encounter.

“I argue in the book, and I am satisfied that other independent analysts reach the same conclusion, ” Clinton stated. “I  would have won if it was not for [the Comey letter.]”

Clinton mentioned it was only on election night time that she realized she had not been going to win.

“It was a shock… this wasn’t until that night it really hit me, ” Clinton recalled. “[Bill and I] failed to cry that night… I create really painfully about what happened that will night. I felt like I had to become strong for my family and my buddies and my supporters and I we hadn’t spent anytime thinking about a concession speech. ”

Goldberg tried to make Clinton feel better by telling her simply no Democratic candidates have won back-to-back presidencies since 1948.

Behar butted within, “Well, you did win actually ” and Clinton agreed stating, “I won the popular vote. inch

The particular co-hosts also spoke out towards those who criticize Clinton for remaining married to Bill Clinton right after his multiple affairs.

“I hear that individuals say ‘They have an arrangement. ‘ It’s called a marriage, ” Clinton responded. “There have been a lot more delighted days than sad or upset days, and I am very happy and grateful that I am wedded to my best friend. ”

The “View” serves cheered Clinton’s answer with chants of “Mind their own business” prior to presenting Clinton with a blazer nevertheless “BACK UP” on it, referencing the particular Trump/Clinton debate where the GOP applicant roamed the stage and has been sometimes shown behind Clinton.

The show’s conservative-leaning host, Jedidiah Bila, do hit Clinton with two queries that were borderline tough for the politician. Bila asked Clinton to respond in order to Democrats who dislike Clinton’s brand new memoir for looking too much on the past. She also asked Clinton about the leaked emails from the Democratic National Committee which revealed efforts to undermine Bernie Sander’s strategy in favor of Clinton.
