Hurricane Nate continues to strengthen as its churns towards the US Gulf Coast and has been expected to be a Category 2 tornado when it made at landfall Sunday evening.
The National Storm Center also announced new hurricane warnings in effect for parts of the particular Florida Panhandle. The center reported rainbands from the storm were moving onshore in southeast Louisiana.
A tropical storm warning had been now in effect east of the Okaloosa/Walton County Line to Indian Move Florida, the center said.
