Iowa family of four that went missing in Mexico found dead

A family of four from Iowa who went missing after visiting Mexico was found dead Thurs night in their condominium in a visitor complex in the country, police confirmed to Sibel News.

The family – Kevin David Sharp, 41, Amy Marie Razor-sharp, 38, Sterling Wayne Sharp, twelve, and Adrianna Maria Sharp, seven – left their hometown associated with Creston, Iowa, to travel to Tulum, South america, on March 15, the  Des Moines Sign-up   reported.

Grieving relatives and close friends of the family gathered Friday on the home of Beth Fry, mom of Amy Sharp, the paper reported.

“ Life is not going to be the exact same without her, ” Fry told the particular newspaper . “ Half my loved ones is gone. ”

Chief Paul Ver Meer of the Creston Police Department informed Fox News the family was discovered dead Thursday night in a condominium they rented in Tulum. The particular family’ s cause of death had not been immediately known but the department had been awaiting autopsy reports.

“ There seems to be no signs of trauma, ” Verificar Meer said.

Ashli Peterson, a family member, wrote within a Facebook post that the family had been supposed to return to the U. T. on Wednesday after catching the flight from Cancun, but failed to return. Peterson said the Sharps notified family members that they made it in order to Mexico safely but that was the final time they heard from them.

Peterson said your family filed a missing persons’ record via the U. S. Embassy within Mexico. They also tried to locate your family by tracing their cell phones yet found there was “ no motion on their phones. ” The family’ s social media accounts were furthermore at a standstill.

Renee Hoyt, Amy Sharp’ s sister, told  Creston News Advertiser   that the family flew directly into Cancun and rented a car to operate a vehicle to Tulum.

“On Wednesday at seven p. m., Amy sent the text to our mom that said, ‘We made it to our condo, ‘” Hoyt told the media outlet. “That is the last communication she produced. We got told last night Kevin sent a text to Travis Anderson around 5 p. mirielle. Thursday and Travis responded close to 11: 30 and has not noticed anything back. ”

On Friday, Peterson posted the Facebook post saying the family has been located.

“ They were found last night within their condo deceased, ” Peterson had written. “ There was no foul perform! At this time that is all the information we have. Make sure you respect the family at this time as they have the grieving process. Thank you for all the articles, shares and kind words. ”

A week ago, the  Condition Department   sent out the travel advisory to Mexico because of crime in Playa del Carmen. The department warned American tourists to “ exercise increased caution” in the country.
