ISIS supporter who plotted to behead Pamela Geller sentenced to 28 years in prison

A supporter of the Islamic Condition who was found guilty of plotting to behead conservative blogger Pamela Geller was sentenced Tuesday to twenty-eight years behind bars.

Prosecutors stated Wright, his uncle and a 3rd man conspired to kill Geller because they were upset she structured a Prophet Muhammad cartoon competition in Texas in 2015.

Siegmann said Wright’ s “ activities gravely threatened the lives associated with innocent Americans” and during the demo said Wright “ knew precisely what he was doing. ”

Prosecutors mentioned Wright was the leader of the conspiracy theory and recruited his uncle yet others to help him wage war at the U. S. Wright’s uncle obtained directions about the plan to kill Geller from Junaid Hussain, an ISIS terrorist and hacker who was afterwards killed in an airstrike in Syria, prosecutors said.

The third man accused within the plot, Nicholas Rovinski, pleaded accountable last year to conspiracy charges plus faces 15 to 22 yrs in prison. Rovinski, of Warwick, Rhode Island, testified against Wright, telling jurors that Wright stated Geller “deserved to be beheaded” due to the fact she insulted Muhammad.
