Ivanka Trump donates $50,000 to Texas megachurch to help migrant children: pastor

The megachurch pastor in Texas stated Ivanka Trump donated $50, 1000 to his church last week to assist with children who have been separated using their parents while illegally crossing the particular border, The Dallas Morning News documented Tuesday, citing the press release.

Pastor Jack port Graham , of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, said the particular president’ s daughter reached out in order to him the day after he messaged about finding a solution to the edge crisis.

Ivanka have not commented on the donation.

In the news release, Graham cited Ivanka’ s donation because evidence that “ the beauty of The united states and the people in our church is the fact that we don’ t have to await our politicians to sort out their arguments in order to do what is right. ”

The documented donation came days before President Donald Trump signed an executive order that reversed his administration’ s “ zero tolerance” plan. Since its enactment in Apr, approximately 2, 300 children were separated from their parents.  

During a Weekend church service Graham thanked Ivanka for her donation and said this individual plans to meet with other church commanders and federal officials in Southern Texas to assess the crisis in the border.

Graham has led the Prestonwood Baptist Church for nearly 30 years.

A chapel spokesman, cited by The Morning Information, said the church has elevated an additional $20, 000 from twenty individual donors for their campaign.
