Previous sports reporter Jenn Sterger comes out swinging at ESPN.
The previous Playboy model wrote a scathing Twitter post lampooning the sports activities network and claiming she had been subject to inappropriate behavior by ESPN employees.
Sterger took to Twitter upon Monday to speak out right after the particular network canceled “Barstool Van Speak. ”
“Since we are being honest, I will state this: I HATE how Bar stool Sports treats women. But the various other side is just as bad. ”
She stated on one occassion, when she has been 23, ESPN employees told her to participate the team at a club subsequent her interview.
“[I] realized upon arrival it was not really a club like I was used to but rather, a strip club, ” the particular now-33-year-old wrote on Twitter.
“I had to watch as my man coworkers got lap-dances from girls”
“ I was extremely uncomfortable by the circumstance and incredibly awkward as I had certainly not stepped foot in one before, ” Sterger recalled. “ I had to view as my male coworkers obtained lap-dances from girls while they will teased me about how I was unpleasant and didn’ t want to take part. ”
She added she spoke in order to two of her bosses in regards to the incident.
“They admonished me plus said it was a bad look for the organization for me to be there and to in no way do it again, ” she claimed. “I was fired before my aircraft landed in Tampa. ”
She furthermore recalled an alleged uncomfortable experience in Bristol, Connecticut, in 08 with one of the males who was on the strip club with her.
The television personality said she took an automobile service to a meeting with ESPN workers but she found out after the conference her ride home had been terminated. She wrote that the man, exactly who she stated is still employed by ESPN, offered to give her a trip in his car, and reluctantly the girl accepted.
“It was a very long plus uncomfortable car ride. He raised numerous girls he said he or she was hooking up with that worked generally there at the time. And implied that he had been helping their careers. I reminded him I was in a relationship along with someone he knew but this individual persisted. ”
Sterger said she “cried the whole way home” after the lady left the car to take a teach.
The girl wrote a friend later told her the person only interviewed her to show their coworkers that she was “ just as f–k able in person when i was in pictures. ”
“He’s a decision-maker there, ” she wrote.
ESPN said in a statement, “We do not have record of this ever being delivered to our attention. We thoroughly check out all allegations brought to us. Cultivating a professional and respectful workplace is really a top priority for ESPN and we often encourage people to report any problems. ”
