‘Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ writer slammed for insensitive Barbara Bush tweet

An author for “The Late Show Along with Stephen Colbert” has found their self in hot water over a tweet the lady wrote about the death of previous first lady Barbara Bush.

“RIP Barbara Bush, the only woman who had been 92 for 30 years, ” Jen Spyra tweeted shortly after news pennyless of Bush’s passing.

Spyra quickly garnered a negative reaction for your tweet from her followers.

“Wow! Which is incredibly insensitive and rude, inch one user wrote .

“Quite sickening! inch another one said .

One person chimed in, “This is the tolerance and acceptance we all hear so much about on the remaining. Way to lift up your fellow females. ”

“A loved ones just lost a love one in addition to jokes about said person… not to mention a joke that’ s not humorous. Then again, neither is Colbert! inch a user tweeted .

A rep for your “Late Show” did not immediately come back Fox News’ request for comment.

However , Spyra’s tweet did receive a positive response from comedian Josh Weisman exactly who simply replied , “Awesome” to her twitter update. She answered the “Corporate” star, “We all do our own part. ”

It’s not the first time a CBS TELEVISION STUDIOS employee has raised eyebrows upon social media.  

Top CBS lawyer Hayley Geftman-Gold was axed in October 2017 after she said she had been “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas capturing because “country music fans frequently are Republican. ”

Geftman-Gold afterwards issued an apology, but it has been too late. CBS told Fox Information at the time that the network let the girl go because she “violated the particular standards of our company. ”
