Margot Kidder, Actress Who Played Lois Lane In ‘Superman,’ Dead At 69

Actress Margot Kidder, who flower to fame playing Lois Street in the 1978 film “ Superman, ” has died at the age of 69.

TMZ is reporting that Kidder died in her home close to Livingston, Montana, but the cause of passing away has not been announced.

A representative for Kidder told HuffPost the actress passed away in her sleep on Weekend, May 13.

She is survived with a daughter, Maggie McGuane.

Born within Yellowknife, Canada, on Oct. seventeen, 1948, Kidder started acting expertly in 1968, mostly working in TELEVISION until she appeared in the 1975 Robert Redford film “ The truly great Waldo Pepper. ”

Along with featuring as Lois Lane in 4 “ Superman” films, Kidder made an appearance in 1974′ s “ Dark Christmas” and 1979′ s “ The Amityville Horror. ”

Kidder’ s profession declined in the 1980s, but the lady returned to the public eye within 1996, as she was coping with mental health issues that had still left her homeless.

She was afterwards diagnosed with manic depression, telling People   that she had been identified as having the condition in the late 1980s, yet refused to take the recommended doctor prescribed of lithium, the recommended therapy at the time.

“ It’ s very hard to convince the manic person that there is anything incorrect with them. You have no desire to rest. You are full of ideas, ” Kidder told People months after a mil novecentos e noventa e seis incident where  law enforcement took her away in handcuffs to Olive View-UCLA Medical Center.

Kidder was married 3 times but had been single since the mid-1980s.

News of Kidder’ s loss of life brought out Twitter tributes from every facets of show business.
