Mexican President Cancels Trip To Washington After Heated Call With Trump

The president of Mexico  halted upcoming plans to visit the White Home after a reportedly tense phone discussion with President Donald Trump,   according to the Washington Post.

U. T. and Mexican officials told the Post that President Enrique Peñ a Nieto called off their visit to Washington D. C. right after Trump refused his request in order to publicly affirm Mexico’ s continuous stance that the country will not pay money for a border wall between the 2 countries during a phone call on Wednesday.

President Peñ a Nieto provides long maintained that Mexico  will not pay for Trump’ s i9000 plans to secure the border with a wall, since the country finds the gesture unpleasant.

The officials who were familiar with the phone call spoke to the newspaper on situation of anonymity because the 50-minute contact was confidential.
