Michael Cohen, Trump’s lawyer, says he paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 out of own pocket

The latest twist within the tangled tale of what happened among President Trump and an adult movie star more than a decade ago has taken a brand new turn Tuesday, with Trump’ s i9000 longtime personal lawyer claiming which he paid the porn star $130, 000 out of his own pocket.

Erina Cohen, the lawyer who proved helpful for Trump for more than a 10 years, said in a statement obtained simply by Fox News that the 2016 deal with Stormy Daniels was legitimate and not a campaign contribution or even campaign expenditure “ by anybody. ”

Trump met Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the name Raining Daniels in films, at a golfing event in 2006 — annually after Trump’ s marriage in order to his wife, Melania. According to The Wall structure Street Journal’ s report, Clifford began talking with HURUF News in the fall of 2016 for a story involving an claimed relationship with Trump, but attained a $130, 000 deal per month before the election, which prevented the girl from going public.

The New York Times first reported on Cohen’ s transaction. The paper said Cohen declined to answer follow-up questions such as whether or not Trump knew about the transaction.

Cohen told the paper that he acquired delivered a similar statement to the Federal government Election Commission in response to a problem filed by Common Cause, the government watchdog.
