The world’s earliest person, a 117-year-old Japanese lady, has died.
Nabi Tajima died associated with old age in a hospital Saturday night in the town of Kikai within southern Japan, town official Susumu Yoshiyuki confirmed. She had been hospitalized since January.
Tajima, born on August. 4, 1900, was the last identified person born in the 19th centuries. She reportedly had more than one hundred sixty descendants, including great-great-great grandchildren. The girl town of Kikai is in Kagoshima prefecture on Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan’s four main island destinations.
The lady became the world’s oldest individual seven months ago after the loss of life in September of Violet Brownish in Jamaica, also at the age of 117.
