Nando’s confirms using McCain frozen chips

Nando’s has admitted using frozen potato chips made by McCain in its restaurants.

Talk of frozen fries started when a former employee told a nearby newspaper that not all Nando’s your meals are fresh.

The person proved helpful at a London branch while their studies at university – and gave several secrets to the Leicester Mercury.

The chicken chain provides confirmed the chip claims : although it says they’re not the same as types you buy to cook at home.

“Our hugely well-known chips are developed in partnership with McCain Food Services and the specific formula is exclusive to Nando’s, inch a spokesperson told Newsbeat.

“They aren’t the same as their own grocery products such as oven potato chips, ” they said.

So even if you do get your hands upon some Peri-Peri salt and some gravies you can’t bank on recreating the slap-up Nando’s meal at home.
