Ohio police officer shot dead during domestic dispute call

A 31-year-old police officer in Ohio was fatally shot responding to a domestic challenge during the weekend.

Girard officer Mr. bieber Leo was shot Saturday evening,   WFMJ   reports.

Police were delivered to a home around 10 p. meters. regarding  “ a domestic scenario involving a firearm, ” Kansas Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Special Agent James Ciotti stated in a press conference. “ On arrival, officers approached the home. There was a brief conversation between the officials and a male inside. ”

“ Initial reports indicate the person pulled a gun and shot the Girard police officer, ” he carried on. “ The second officer returned open fire and the male inside was strike and pronounced dead at the picture. ”


Leo died at a local hospital, based on Ciotti.   Leo was a five-year veteran of the department.

“ Out of nowhere fast, one shot rang out, ” neighbor Arron Wayland told this news station. “ And then immediately, 3 more shots. ”

The incident has been investigated by the BCI.  

The believe hasn’ t been publicly discovered.

The radio call for an “ official down” included an officer informing a dispatcher there was a man along with several firearms who had been drinking all day long.

“ Justin Leo was a young man We knew most of his life, ” Girard Mayor Justin Melfi mentioned during the press conference. “ A total gentleman and someone who the city continues to be proud of since he had been right here with us. Our communities, prayers plus thoughts go out to Leo’ s i9000 family. ”
