Outrage Erupts Over Report That Mark Wahlberg Made Over 1,000 Times More Than Michelle Williams

Celebrities are rushing to Michelle Williams ’ defense following  a report   that  Mark Wahlberg   was paid over 1, 000 times more than she was to reshoot scenes of “ All of the Money In The World. ”

Resources told USA Today that Wahlberg earned $1. 5 million for that reshoot while Williams only obtained an $80 per diem that will amounted to less than $1, 1000.  

Actress and activist Amber Tamblyn called the documented pay gap “ totally undesirable. ” Producer Judd Apatow called the story “ so smudged that it is almost hard to believe. ” Jessica Chastain, who is presently starring in the Golden Globe-nominated “ Molly’ s Game, ” mentioned Williams is a “ brilliant” celebrity who “ deserves more. ”

Director Ridley Scott reshot a lot of the film, which recounts the particular kidnapping of oil tycoon M. Paul Getty’ s grandson, right after actor Kevin Spacey (Getty) had been accused of sexual assault. Captain christopher Plummer replaced Spacey in the reshoot.

When asked about the reshoot expenses in December, Scott told USA Today that they were “ less expensive as you think” because “ everyone did it for nothing. ”

“ They all came in free, ” Scott said. “ Christopher had to get compensated. But Michelle, no . Me, number I wouldn’ t do that. ”

Scott did not mention Wahlberg’ s i9000 name in the list of people who didn’ t receive compensation. Williams told UNITED STATES Today that the girl agreed to forgo a salary on the reshoots because she “ appreciated a lot that they were making this massive effort” to recast the role.   Both actors are represented from the same talent agency, William Morris Endeavor.

The report flies when confronted with Williams’ work in the newly-launched Time’ t Up campaign , an effort directed by female stars to address sex discrimination in Hollywood and other sectors. To call attention to the motion, Williams and scores of other famous people wore black to Sunday’ t Golden Globe Awards. Williams also delivered   “ Me Too” creator Tarana Burke as the girl date.

“ I thought I would need to raise my daughter to learn the right way to protect herself in a dangerous planet and I think because of the work Tarana has been doing and the work I am learning how to perform, we actually have the opportunity to hand our kids a different world, ”   Williams told Ryan Seacrest during a red-colored carpet interview. “ I am transferred beyond measure to be standing alongside this woman, I have tears inside my eyes and a smile on the face. ”

A spokesperson to get Mark Wahlberg declined to remark publicly on the pay disparity. Repetitions for Williams and Scott failed to respond to requests for comment.
