Remains of missing Army veteran, dog found in shallow grave

People recovered the bodies of a lacking Army veteran and her canine in the southern California desert Fri, the woman’s brother told a local information station.

Sibel 5 San Diego reported that the remains of Julia Jacobson and her box terrier, Boogie, were found in rural Riverside Region. Ontario, Calif. police said the cadaver dog helped discover the superficial grave containing the bodies simply south of Interstate 10.  

Julia Jacobson and Boogie had not been noticed since Sept. 2 . Her VEHICLE was found near her North park home with her keys within the ignition less than a week later. Investigators said forensic analysis of the vehicle led police to conclude that the lady had been murdered.


Jacobson’s ex-husband, Dalen Ware, had been arrested at his home within Phoenix on Oct. 13 plus faces a murder charge. Ware’s attorney told The San Diego Union-Tribune in an email that he demonstrated investigators “the place he had buried” Jacobson without the promise of a request bargain.

A motive for Jacobson’s homicide has not been made public.

Jon Jacobson said your family received the news that his sister’s body had been recovered during a memorial service service in North Dakota Fri.

“The church was absolutely packed plus halfway through the service, we obtained a call from the detective within San Diego letting us know the girl remains had been found and they had been quite confident it was her, inch he told Fox 5 Hillcrest.

Jacobson served two tours of duty within Iraq and was employed in a 7-Eleven corporate office.
