Romney will ‘wait and see’ whether to support Trump in 2020

Previous Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said he wants to see whom runs for president in 2020 before committing to supporting President Jesse Trump’ s re-election bid.

“ With regards to what happens in 2020, we’ lso are going to wait and see who operates, ” Romney, who is seeking Utah’ s GOP nomination for United states senate, told reporters Saturday. “ Easily had to make that decision today, I’ deb be missing the opportunity to find out what they’ re going to do for Ut. ”

Romney and Trump have managed an uneasy relationship. Romney bombarded Trump during the GOP primary marketing campaign, calling him “ is a artificial, a fraud. ”

Trump fired back again, saying he “choked like a dog” during his own White House operate in 2012.

But the open hostility has given that ceased and Romney accepted Trump’ s endorsement for Senate. Within the early days of the administration, the chief executive also reportedly considered Romney for any high-level cabinet position.


Romney will be seeking to succeed Utah’ s heading off U. S. Sen. Orrin Emerge, but will be forced to compete inside a crowded primary race after faltering to attract the required votes in the state’ s Republican Party tradition on Saturday.

He finished second within votes from party delegates, at the rear of state lawmaker Mike Kennedy. Both favorites will face off in the GOP primary election June twenty six.
