Search suspended for 14-month-old boy after mother found dead; illegal-immigrant boyfriend suspected

The particular search for a 14-month-old in a rural Ny town has been suspended by law enforcement.

The child, Owen Hidalgo-Calderon, was terrifying dead after the body of their 18-year-old mother, Selena Hidalgo-Calderon, has been found May 24 in a wooded area  of a farm in Sodus where the two lived and worked well.

Your ex boyfriend,   Everardo Donoteo-Reyes, the 25-year-old Mexican who immigration authorities have said is in the country unlawfully and has been deported twice, is a believe in her death , yet has not been charged.

“At this time we have expended all of the present information and clues that we have, and we are going shut  down the search, inch Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts said, according to the Democrat and Chronicle , following a 12-day search for the child.

A state woodland ranger in the area told the news store that based on investigators’ search strategies, Owen’s body is most likely not on the house.

“It doesn’t mean that he’s not… yet we are at over 90 % probability of detection, ” Luxury touring. Charles Richardson said. “Right today there’s really no need for us to keep searching here until we obtain other information. ”


He said that while the look for Owen —   who was final seen May 16  — provides stopped, the investigation will carry on.

Donoteo-Reyes, who has admitted to burying the girl but not killing her, is a believe in the homicide investigation, Virts mentioned last week.

He hasn’t been charged in that analysis but has been charged with tampering with evidence after allegedly re-entering the U. S. and having counterfeit documents, according to the newspaper.

Donoteo-Reyes is definitely scheduled to appear in court Mon afternoon.
