Ted Cruz Hits The Panic Button: ‘We Could Lose Both Houses Of Congress’

Sen Ted Cruz (R-Texas)  includes a warning for his fellow Conservatives: The party is in danger associated with losing both houses of Congress in November.

Cruz said the particular “ extreme left” could come out in big numbers, motivated in order to fight the agenda of Leader Donald Trump .

We know that the left is going to appear , ” Cruz told traditional radio host Hugh Hewitt . “ The particular extreme left, they’ re furious. They’ re filled with rage. They will hate the president. ”

Johnson also said that if the economy is definitely booming and conservatives show up on the polls,   his party can pick up as many as seven seats within the Senate and hold a “ large, functioning majority. ”

However , he also warned from the opposite scenario:

“ If conservatives are usually complacent, and mark my words and phrases, we are going to see historic turnout from your extreme left in November, meaning if conservatives stay home, we have the, we could lose both houses associated with Congress. ”

If Democrats take control of the House, this individual predicted that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif. ) would become loudspeaker again and immediately initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump.

Closer to house, Cruz also warned of a feasible blue wave in the Lone Superstar State.

“ In Tx, if conservatives stay home, if we relaxation on our laurels, we could see Tx turn blue, ” he stated. “ We could see every statewide official in the state becoming a Liberal. ”

He added that he didn’ t think that was likely.

Democrats are facing a daunting United states senate map this November, defending a lot more seats than Republicans, including many in states that voted just for Trump in 2016, such as Sarasota,   Indiana, Missouri,   Kansas, North Dakota and West Va.

Cruz himself is up designed for re-election. While his seat is known as safe, he’ s facing difficult from Rep. Beto O’ Rourke, a Democrat from the El Paso area.

O’ Rourke raised $2. 3 million in the first 6 weeks of 2018 , or almost triple the $800, 000 elevated by Cruz over that time period, according to the Texas Tribune.

Whilst O’ Rourke is still considered a lengthy shot,   the Cook Politics Report changed Cruz’ s chair from “ Solid R” to some “ Most likely R ” earlier this year.
