Trump, Who Cited Bone Spurs To Avoid Military Service, Claims He Would Have Fought Off Parkland Shooter Without A Weapon

WASHINGTON ― President Donald Trump on Monday suggested which he would have personally fought off the college shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School even while not armed, even though he previously deferred military service because of bone spurs in his foot.

“ I really believe I’ d operate in there even if I didn’ big t have a weapon, and I think most of the people in this particular room would have done that too, ” he said during a White Home event with the nation’ s governors.

Trump was referring to criticism against  law enforcement officials, which includes an armed guard at the college who failed to swiftly respond to the gun massacre within Parkland, Florida, earlier this 30 days.

When later asked to explain Trump’ s comments, White Home press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed that he didn’ t in fact mean that he would “ run in” to the school.
