UK police clear American banker of pushing woman in front of London bus

Uk police admitted Saturday that an United states banker arrested on suspicion associated with pushing a woman in front of a Greater london bus while he was running could not have committed the criminal offense.  

The Metropolitan Police force inside a statement that the man, identified simply by local media outlets as 41-year-old Eric Bellquist, has been “eliminated from your investigation. ”

Bellquist had been  apprehended Thursday on suspicion of leading to grievous bodily harm in the Might 5 incident.   His attorneys later released a statement stating he wasn’t involved and could demonstrate he was in the United States at the time.

The police arrest came after police released monitoring camera footage showing a runner in shorts and T-shirt knocking into a pedestrian, who tumbled before a double-decker bus. The coach swerved and then stopped to avoid striking the unidentified woman.

Police say “inquiries continue” to identify the jogger.
