US Navy veteran ordered to remove American flag wrap from mailbox
The mailbox covered with the American banner is at the center of a dispute making between a retired U. T. veteran and a homeowners association within Florida.
Retired U. S. Navy blue Officer John Ackert says this individual received a letter last week in the Southwood Residential Community Associate within Tallahassee that asked him to eliminate the wrapping of Old Fame around the mailbox or face fines.
He or she told WCTV he’s not really backing down without a fight and it has made an appeal.
I view this particular as a form of bullying to be honest, Ackert said. And I think people should endure bullying of any form, plus particularly this.
Ackert said the particular H. O. A claimed their mailbox was not in consonance with all the aesthetic values of Southwood.
As the christmas season comes to a close, please remove the United states flag mailbox wrap, the notice read. Decoration may be displayed thirty days prior and must be taken down fifteen days after.

The H. O. The. letter says Ackert has fifteen days to remove the wrap or even face a fine. He has not obtained a response to his appeal.
