Wanda Sykes Says She’s Left ‘Roseanne.’ Others React To Barr’s Racist Remarks.

Comic and writer  Wanda Sykes has stop her job as a consulting manufacturer on the show “ Roseanne” after star  Roseanne Barr   went on a racist Twitter rant   on Tuesday morning and after that apologized.

Barr initially tweeted: “ Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes a new baby=vj. ” The tweet had been aimed at Valerie Jarrett, a top previous aide to then-President Barack Obama, and has since been deleted.

Not long after that,   Barr  posted an apology : “ I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and also to all Americans. I am truly i am sorry for making a bad joke about the girl politics and her looks. I ought to have known better. Forgive myself – my joke was in poor taste. ”

But the apology didn’ to negate the first tweet and Tweets users had a lot of criticism in order to throw at both Barr plus ABC. Many demanded that the system release a statement and/or take “ Roseanne” off the air.

Early Tuesday mid-day, ABC announced that it had chose to  cancel the particular show   and the responses continued to pour in:

“ Roseanne” co-star Sara Gilbert furthermore tweeted   a declaration about the show on Tuesday mid-day, prior to the cancellation announcement:   “ Roseanne’ s recent comments regarding Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our own cast and crew or anybody associated with our show. I am unhappy in her actions to say the least. ”

Another tweet from Gilbert said that Barr’ s views were just the “ opinions and words of one throw member. ”
