Dwayne Johnson meets Michigan boy who used San Andreas CPR tips to save drowning brother

Dwayne “ The Rock” Johnson met a Michigan youngster who is being hailed as a leading man for saving his toddler sibling from drowning by using skills he or she learned from watching one of the actor’ s films.

Last month, 10-year-old Jacob O’ Connor rescued their 2-year-old brother Gavin from the household swimming pool at their home in Roseville, according to MLive Michigan . After recognizing him face down in the drinking water, Jacob jumped into action, tugging him out and doing CPR and chest compressions — such as he’ d seen Johnson’ ersus character do on his daughter within the 2015 movie “ San Andreas. ”

In an August 25 Instagram post , Johnson shared Jacob’ s tale. “ I’ m so astonished and impressed by this little 10-year-old boy’ s heroic actions plus calm instincts in the middle of that type of emergency distress, ” he published. “ I now need to wring young Jacob’ s hand. ”

And Tuesday, John and his family met Johnson around the Vancouver set of his new film “ Skyscraper. ” Johnson discussed a video to Instagram Tuesday of the encounter.

“ He’ h such a smart kid, ” Manley said in the clip. “ I simply want to say so proud of a person, such an honor meeting this child. ”

In the post’ s caption, he or she pointed out Jacob’ s shirt, which usually had a photo of Johnson keeping his two puppies after conserving them from drowning in a swimming pool.

“ Since picture on this boy’ s clothing got me in the gut, ” he wrote. “ This ten year old kid had a heart not too young to put our puppies on his tee shirt after he saved his small 2-year-old brother’ s life. ”

“ I appreciate you buddy — thank you, ” Johnson said. “ And I speak on behalf of the world: We’ re so proud of you. ”
