‘Fire And Fury’ Author Defends Book After Trump Slams It As ‘Phony’ And ‘Full Of Lies’

WASHINGTON ― Journalist Michael Wolff on Friday said he appears by “ Fire and Rage, ” his new book regarding President  Donald Trump’ s administration which has drawn Trump’ s ire plus rocked the political world.

“ My credibility is being questioned with a man who has less credibility compared to perhaps anyone who has ever walked on the planet at this point, ” Wolff said associated with Trump.

On NBC’ s “ Today” show on Friday, in the first interview since the book continued sale at midnight, Wolff defended their reporting, and his descriptions of Trump aides and confidants openly wondering the president’ s mental health insurance and stability.

Wolff said  “ 100 % of the people around” Trump elevated concerns about his mental physical fitness for office.

“ I will inform you the one description that everyone offered, ” he said. “ All of them say he is like a child, and exactly what they mean by that is, he’s a need for immediate gratification. It’ s all about him. ”

Trump and the White House have released a full-scale campaign to blacken Wolff, attacking the book as  “ complete fantasy”   plus “ tabloid gossip. ”

Upon Thursday, an attorney for Trump delivered a cease-and-desist letter to the book’ s publisher, attempting to halt the release.   Later that time, Trump tweeted that he “ certified Zero access” to Wolff, plus trashed the book as “ phony” and “ full of is situated. ”

Book excerpts released recently have  widened the rift between the president and previous chief strategist Steve Bannon . Trump on Thursday smeared Bannon with the nickname “ Sloppy Steve” and appeared to threaten the former guide and Wolff.  

Wolff upon Friday said he did job interview Trump for the book.

“ I truly spoke to the president, ” this individual said. “ Whether he noticed it was an interview or not, I don’ t know, but it certainly had not been off the record. ”

Wolff wouldn’ to say whether he would release songs of his interviews. But this individual affirmed that he is “ definitely and absolutely, in every way, confident with everything I’ ve reported in this particular book. ”

Interest in the guide skyrocketed in the furor over Bannon’ s comments, so the publisher  released it Friday early morning , ahead of its scheduled distribution date next week.

Wolff said it had been “ extraordinary” for the president to try to stop a book’ s syndication.
