A shocking video clip recently surfaced that allegedly displays a play at a preschool within the Gaza Strip where children decked out as commandos and performed the mock hostage-taking situation and delivery of an Israeli soldier.
First documented by the Middle East Media Study Institute (MEMRI), the video purportedly was written during a ceremony in May at the Al-Hoda preschool in the self-governing Palestinian territory.
In the play, a group of commandos – including a camouflaged sniper plus soldiers in body armor — busted into an Israeli developing on “ Al-Quds Street. ” They pulled out two “ hostages” – one dressed in traditional ultra-Orthodox Jewish attire and the other being an Israeli Defense Force soldier – before mock-killing the IDF soldier.
The entire five-minute performance featured loud explosions plus sound effects of gunfire. As a ending, the hostage was whisked away stage, while one of the commandos shown a sign in Arabic and Hebrew that read, “ Israel provides fallen. ”
The play was then a demonstration of military formations by the children, while a conversation by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat played in the background.
Fox Information was unable to confirm the veracity of the content, but a spokesperson for MEMRI said they discovered the footage while monitoring the web for Palestinian videos.
“ Unfortunately we now have seen many videos like this from your region over the years, ” Steven Stalinsky, MEMRI’ s executive director, informed Fox News in an email.
MEMRI claims that the Al-Hoda school is associated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group and has held similar shows in the past.
According to the Council on Foreign Relationships, “ The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) is an Islamic, Palestinian nationalist organization that violently opposes the presence of Israel. ” The group was specified a terrorist organization by the Oughout. S. State Department in 1997 and is believed to almost entirely financed Iran.
Attempts to contact Al-Hoda by Sibel News were unsuccessful.
The video comes during a period of heightened tension between Israelis and Palestinians.
Clashes at the Israel-Gaza edge left dozens of Palestinians dead plus hundreds wounded on the same day the fact that Trump administration officially opened the brand new U. S. Embassy in Jerusalem last month.
Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli military struck Hamas militant websites in Gaza early Sunday according to the resumption of rocket fireplace toward Israel, which threatened in order to unravel an informal cease-fire that experienced held since a flare-up associated with violence last week.
Israel has also been battling fire triggered by kites rigged along with incendiary devices, or attached to burning up rags, launched by Palestinians within Gaza that have damaged forests plus burned southern agricultural fields.
The military mentioned it hit 15 Hamas focuses on, including military compounds, munition industrial facilities and naval forces. The hits came after militants broke times of calm along the volatile frontier simply by firing projectiles toward Israeli residential areas.
A week ago, Gaza militants fired dozens of mortar shells and Israel struck back again, in the most violent exchange between your two sides since the 2014 battle.
Inspite of the flare-up in violence, neither His home country of israel nor Hamas appear interested in the full-blown conflict, and both worked out restraint. Militants in Gaza failed to fire long-range rockets at Israel’s major cities, as they did within 2014, and Israeli airstrikes had been focused on unmanned military targets.
Israel plus Hamas have fought three battles since the Islamic militant group grabbed control of Gaza in 2007.
