Greyhound bus chased by police after illegal immigrant threatens passengers

A man on-board a Greyhound bus who apparently threatened to shoot and destroy fellow passengers on Friday, top police on a chase that started in Wisconsin and ended within Illinois, is an illegal immigrant, and it is now facing terror charges.

Law enforcement responded to a call around nine: 40 p. m. Friday from the bus passenger who claimed there is a person threatening to kill individuals, Sibel 6 reported , citing the particular Racine County Sheriff’ s Division.

Margarito Vargas-Rosas, 33, of Chicago, had been reportedly pacing the aisle towards the back of the bus, and seemed to draw what passengers thought was obviously a weapon from his waistband.

Deputies using the Milwaukee and Kenosha County Sheriff’ s Offices both attempted to draw the bus over, but the car owner didn’ t stop the vehicle.

Racine Region Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said the particular bus driver “ thought it had been a training exercise by law enforcement, or even thought he was going to stop somebody. ”

Passenger Patrick Todd told The Chi town Tribune the coach occupants were confused by the driver’s actions and kept yelling on him to pull over.


Authorities ultimately utilized spike strips to flatten the particular vehicle’ s tires, which compelled it to a stop on Interstate 94 near the Illinois community associated with Wadsworth.
