A student opened fire Wednesday at Marshall County High School within Benton, Ky., killing two many other students and injuring 18 other people, officials said, in a shooting that will caused panic and anguish within the school and across the community.

It was so close to me, ” Waymon said. “ I just noticed it and then I just, everything has been black for a good minute. Such as, I could not see anything. Waymon did not stop running, not really when she called her mother to tell her what happened. She managed to get to the McDonald’ s, her upper body hurting, struggling to breathe. “ All I could keep thinking had been, ‘ I can’ t think this is happening. I cannot believe this really is happening, ’ ” she mentioned.

A lady student was recovering Tuesday right after police said she was chance by a 16-year-old classmate in the school’s cafeteria.
