Second Kansas sheriff’s deputy dies from injuries following shooting

Another sheriff’ s deputy who was chance Friday near a courthouse within Kansas City died from the girl injuries early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Deputy Theresa King, 44, offered the department for 13 yrs, the Wyandotte County Sheriff’ ersus Office said. Deputy Patrick Rohrer, 35, died Friday. Rohrer have been on the force for seven many years.

The particular incident occurred when they were each “overcome by an inmate becoming transferred from jail to the courthouse” on Friday morning, police stated. The suspect was also shot plus underwent surgery, but his situation was unkown.

FOX4 Kansas City   identified the particular suspect as Antoine Fielder, twenty two, who had been tried twice for the killing of a 22-year-old that both finished in hung juries. He had been recently charged with the murder of the 55-year-old woman.

Both Rohrer and California king were transported to the University associated with Kansas Medical Center, where Rohrer afterwards died. King, who was initially classified by critical condition, died shortly after night time on Saturday.

“We continue to pray for the brothers and sister with the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department as we shed our sister this morning. No phrases could explain the feelings and feelings you feel. Praying for Wyandotte Region!! ” the Kansas City Kansas Police department wrote on Facebook following King’s passing.

Major Kelli Bailiff, from the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office, stated it was possible the deputies had been shot with their own weapons.  

Bailiff said the investigation was right now being handled by the police division in Kansas City. Police Officer Zac Blair said authorities were critiquing surveillance video.  

“This incident continues to be under investigation by the Kansas Town, Kansas Police Department’ s Unlawful Investigations Division, who is encouraging a person with information to call the SUGGESTIONS Hotline at 816-474- TIPS (8477), ”  the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office said.
