Trump Proposes Pay Bonus For Armed Teachers

President Jesse Trump doubled upon his suggestion that arming instructors could help prevent school shootings upon Thursday, adding that those trained to make use of firearms could receive extra spend.

During a White House meeting with police, Trump proposed for the second amount of time in the last two days that some educators,   “ certain highly strong people, people who understand weaponry, weapons, ” should carry firearms upon campus.   He added Thurs that they may be paid “ a little bit of a bonus ”   to do so.

Trump first touched on this idea throughout a Wednesday hearing session with learners, families and others affected by gun assault in schools, including many through Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, exactly where 17 students and staff members had been killed last week.

He recommended then that arming 20 % of teaching staff at schools might be effective at quickly ending attacks.   It’ s unclear how much financing would be needed to train and provide 20 percent of the country’ h teaching staff, or where that will funding would come from.

Upon Thursday, he suggested bringing in a lot more security guards in addition to arming instructors.

“ You can’ t employ enough security guards…. You need one hundred, 150 security guards, ” this individual said.

There is  very little proof   that bringing a lot more cops and security guards in order to campus will stop school shootings.   There is, however ,   an abundance of evidence   suggesting that added college security will funnel more susceptible students ―   black children particularly ― into the criminal justice program at an early age.
